I%26#039;ve had pimples since the age of 14. When I was a teenager I expected them but now that I%26#039;m 25 and I still have pimples it%26#039;s kind of embarrassing. I normally have at least 5 on my face at all times and now more than ever I really think it%26#039;s holding me back in the job market. I went to a few dermatologists and they prescribes creams and things for it but nothing ever seems to work. I don%26#039;t have the money to go to the doctor now since I%26#039;m out of a job, but I%26#039;m looking for other answers.
Can the foods I eat be making my face the way it is? Because I notice when I eat things with butter or grease in them I feel my face oilier than normal.|||try drinking more water. in my nutrition class the other day my teacher told us that foods don%26#039;t really affect acne, or at least they haven%26#039;t found any studies that prove that. she said dehyrdration might be a problem.|||We are in the same boat...... I too am 25 and suffer with acne, I also went to dermatalogists for creams and antiobiotics but nothing worked. I even would switch doctors to try to get a different remedy but nope nothing worked. The pills would work while I was taking them but once I stopped my pimples came back. This is what I have been doing myself without the help of a doctor.
This may take trial and error on your part until you find the products that work for your skin and skin type.
Always wash your face 2 times a day (morning and night).
Use a face wash (not necessarily for acne because that type makes my skin so dry)
Use a astringet after you wash face. (I use witch hazel)
Then apply a acne cream to breakouts (Any Walmart just look around)
Then I apply a moistoriser (I use cetraphll)
Once every 2 weeks I hot steam face with water to open pores to give my skin a deep cleaning and I follow the steps above, followed by using a cold piece of ice to close pores once I clean face.
Lastly, yes stay away from greasy and sugary foods. Those are my worse enemies!!!!!! Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush the toxins from your body. Make sure you stay consistent with the regimen because it sounds like you have acne prone skin. Hope I helped!

How to clear up stubborn adult acne?
So, i had pretty bad acne since I was about 12. When I turned 21, it cleared up pretty well, with mild breakouts only right around my period. Well, I%26#039;m 24 now and for the last 6 months or so, I%26#039;ve had horrible acne that doesn%26#039;t clear up, EVER! It%26#039;s a lot of little pimples all over, with blackheads near my nose and chin. Would something like proactiv help? I%26#039;ve tried topical benzoyl peroxide and salacyllic acid, but nothing seems to help. Please help!!
P.S. This problem seemed to occur right after a finished a z-pack of antibiotics about 6 months ago that I took for strep throat. Could this be a side effect????|||The main ingredient in Proactiv is benzoyl peroxide. The toner is witch hazel, and the moisturizer is just moisturizer.
The reason that the product seems to work so well is because it helps people get into a skincare routine where they wash their face with a cleanser specifically for the face not the body, apply the benzoyl peroxide which is really just an antibacterial, and apply moisturizer because bp can dry out your skin.
If you don%26#039;t have a routine and these main products don%26#039;t work for you then see a dermatologist and get an oral product.

I need a womens advice! Adult Acne?!?
Well I have asked and I%26#039;m not getting the answers I need. I am 21 years old and I have never had acne up until last year. Now its not horrobile but its still there. I have tried a number of different acne medications (about 6) and have seen more than one dermatologist. I haven%26#039;t been eating any differently than I have my enitre life! I have cut greasy foods and caffine out of my daily in take, if I do have the two its probably about twice a month. NOTHING IS WORKING! I have come to the conclusion that it has to do with my hormones. So today I was given YAZ, I have not began taking it yet. Is there any females that have gone through something similar? Will YAZ help? Am I doing something wrong?|||I don%26#039;t know about Yaz, as I%26#039;ve never been on that. But I asked this question a few months ago and someone recommended Queen Helen Mask (Sally%26#039;s beauty). I use it about 2 times a week and WOW---I haven%26#039;t had a zit since.
Cheap and worth a shot!|||Although YAZ has been approved to market their birth control pill as an %26quot;acne fighter%26quot;, MOST if not all birth control pills help with acne. Acne is mostly hormonal so I would start taking the YAZ immediately. Drinking lots of water and cleaning your face correctly twice a day will help as well. Also purchase the ZENO machine. I bought one a long time before it was popular and it works great to eliminate acne that is just appearing on the skin. Good luck.|||Drink lots of water, make sure your not dehydrating this will help your skin, theres my favorit olay rejuvinating balance, and that will help you alot with not worrying about dry and oilie skin. and putting back natural balance for the while your body and hormoine is changing more into a women.
There%26#039;s also ways for the pimples you have now. to dry thing own use tooth paste at night. to get ride of the redness and swollen take a hot And i mean hot washcloth put it directly on the infected area and keep it there until the swallen goes down it does sting becuase you cleaning out your bacteria and your opening up your poors, soak in the steam for awhile to. that will help you out alot. and this is simple nothing dramamtic and less makup during this time otherwise your infecting it more. and dont pop that spreads causes scars and its bad. good luck feel beautiful.|||Yaz is supposed to help with your hormones, which can cause acne. I was on the original, Yasmine, and i loved it. It helped me with my weight and acne. I heard YAZ is supposed to be even better. Good Luck!|||I%26#039;ll tell you, your diet has nothing to do with acne. This happened to me, except I was younger. I had perfectly clear skin, and then when I turned 12, I just got acne. Take care of it now, cause it%26#039;ll get worse as the years go on. I used to only have on my cheeks, and now I have it on my chin and forehead too. Exercise and water helps a ton. =]

I have a problem with adult acne and never had a problem as a teen. Any suggestions?
I am a 21 year old female and I am having terrible problems with acne. I never had problems with acne as a teenager. I have been on birth control for about two years and I have been put on the best kind for controlling acne. I have a serious breakout right now. My dermatologist put me on Differin gel but it really has only made my skin worse. I normally have combination skin so therefore I can%26#039;t really put a lot of moisturizers on it. I live in the South and the recent change in the weather and the drop in the humidity might have something to do with it. I say this because I went to Montana last year and the mountain air made my skin all messed up too. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to control things? Does the Differin gel use ever make things better after a while?|||you can get stuff over the counter for that

If due to hormonal causes, there%26#039;s really nothing much you can do except to wait it out. Of course if it%26#039;s too serious then you may need medical intervention...antibiotics, Roaccutane creams etc...
Proper cleansing is necessary, but twice a day is enough. Too much washing can also cause further weakening of the skin%26#039;s barrier function. Select a gentle surfactant-based cleansing gel (e.g. Cetaphil). Soap/soap bars clean very well but are too alkaline and harsh.
You may try Neem natural herbal extract (available as capsules). Neem is known for its blood cleansing properties. Of course drink lots of water daily. Have enough sleep every night. These are the best %26quot;natural%26quot; remedies :))
One most important point though - Keep your fingers off your face! Most transmission of bacteria occurs that way.
Anyway just to let you know you are not alone... So when I follow my own advices above, and still get pimples, then I like to blame it on HORMONES!!
Cheers! :))
|||wash your face 3x a time with antibacterial soap, use some over the counter meds for the acne and make sure not go to bed with makeup on. good luck|||well, i think what you need is to clean out the oil and dead skin cells, which are what acne is. try using a little bit of cleanser, the weak ones without alcohol. Try just a bit on parts of your face, and see if they acne reduces. try it for about 2 or 3 days, if it does, then continue. but be mindful that overuse of cleanser can dry out your skin and can cause even worse outbreaks.

How can I cure my adult acne?
I%26#039;m 20 years old and suffer from mild adult acne. I have combination skin with an extremely oily t-zone. I have clogged blackheads, whiteheads and a several pimples. Even though I cleanse, tone, and moisturize 2x a day it doesn%26#039;t make any difference. I don%26#039;t wear heavy makeup, I wear neutrogena skin clearing foundation on days when I need coverage. I never fall asleep w/ makeup on. I change my pillow sheets 2x a week %26amp; never ever touch my face. I don%26#039;t eat very healthy or exercise or drink that much water. I%26#039;ve tried every single product that I can think of and none work for me, I%26#039;m also allergic to benzoyl peroxide. These are the products I%26#039;ve used: Numerous Clean %26amp; Clear products, Oxy Pads, Clearasil, Astringments, Numerous Neutrogena facial cleansers, Tea tree oil(just about anything I could find at a drugstore). I%26#039;ve even tried Proactive and Skin I.D. Both of these products didn%26#039;t work and I got an allergic reaction from the benzoyl in them. I%26#039;ve even gone a couple months without wearing makeup just to see if my acne would clear up. I have a very stressful job that never gets any easier. I know that these are all very important factors for good skin. I really feel like there is no hope and that I will always have acne. I feel very embarrased and lack self esteem. When I break out I don%26#039;t want to be seen by anyone. I actually do cry sometimes because I wonder what I%26#039;m doing wrong and I don%26#039;t feel it%26#039;s fair that I try so hard and there%26#039;s very little effectiveness. My acne clears up sometimes but soon enough there%26#039;s new blemishes. I%26#039;m at my wits end, someone help me, only serious answers. 10 points to whoever is the most informative and can help me out. Thanx.|||Here is a site with great home remedies for curing acne and black head. I had the same problem wil I started using these.

How to get rid of adult acne?? HELP!!!!!?
i am a 22 year old female.. i have NEVER had a breakout before never had acne as a teen.. now all of a sudden when i hit my 20s i have horrid acne!!! my face is scared up and discolored from it... i used to have a beautiful complextion, always got compliments on it..
i have tried everything!!! proactive, clean and clear, etc. nothing works! i have changed my make-up hair styles/color, etc
I am about to cry...
does any one know WHAT will work??? help please!|||I%26#039;m 14 and used to have terrible acne so our situations may be a little different. I would suggest visiting the dermatologist, since everyone%26#039;s skin is different. Proactive and Clean and Clear may work for some people, but it%26#039;s not for everyone. Believe me when I say that I tried every home remedy and OTC product known to man, and every thing i tried only made my acne worse. From my experiences, I learned that less is more. The more you try to do to your face and experiment with, the worse your acne may become. My dermatologist prescribed me a cream called Duac, which started to improve my skin after only a week or so and worked wonders with a little more time. Here is a regimen that I use and is easy to follow and (hopefully) delivers great results.
1) In the morning, rinse your face with warm water (don%26#039;t scrub) and then apply a thin layer of the Duac (or another cream that you choose to use).
2) During the day, make a conscience effort to drink 8 glasses of water and stay away from fired, fatty foods. Also incorporate enough fruit and fiber into your diet. This will help clear your acne from the inside out.
3) Avoid touching your face and popping the zits. This will only spread the bacteria and make your acne worse. When possible, keep your hair completely out of your face and avoid using hair products, like hairspray, which can get on your skin and clog your pores.
4) At night, rinse your face again and apply another thin layer of the Duac/cream of your choice. Beware that if choosing to use the Duac, it bleaches dyed fabric, so I%26#039;d purchase 2 or 3 white pillowcases and washcloths.
5) I%26#039;d use a moisturizer for combination skin (I like the Neutrogena moisturizers) at night on top top of the cream, since dry skin facilitates the growth and spread of bacteria. I%26#039;d also change your pillowcase every other night.
My last bit of advice is to stop stressing out about your skin. It is actually proven that stress causes acne to flare up. When I had terrible skin, I would notice that stressing out over my skin would just cause new pimples to appear in the morning. Trust me, when I was younger, I thought I would NEVER have the beautiful skin I%26#039;d always wanted. I tried everything, and just became more disappointed when nothing I tried worked. But, with a visit to the dermatologist, an easy skin care regimen, and a positive attitude, I now have the beautiful skin I always dreamed of having and couldn%26#039;t be more happy with my appearance!
(And, like I said, I know we%26#039;re different ages, but acne is acne no matter how young or old you are!)
Hope I helped!|||I used the nuetrogena kit, it comes with cleanser and two types of lotion, one for daytime use and one without SPFxx and with 2% benzoil peroxide which kicks ***. Costs like 20 bux at walmart. Be careful with a lot of these acne medicines they dry out your face too much and make it worse. You may need to go to a dermatologist.|||Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. About 2 liter of water a day of 8 cups. Wash your pillowcase every 1 or 2 weeks. Try to avoid greecy foods like fast food, french fries, and all of that. Take a multivitamin everyday to make sure your skin is healthy. Don%26#039;t overwash your face or else you will be irritating it. Once and|||proactiv

Here are some real answers on skin conditions. Remedies at the bottom. Cleansing the body of toxins is the key. Especially a colon cleanse! Educate yourself on detoxifying the blood and removing excess waste in the body.
Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - %26quot;What is your skin trying to tell you? Often the skin is a metaphor for deeper issues and a way for your body to send up a red flag to warn you that all is not well underneath. When our skin is unhealthy it is usually a reflection of the internal state of our bodies, and is often a sign of poor elimination of toxins and waste products. Most of us are embarrassed by skin problems such as rashes, rosacea, boils or acne, especially in places where others can see our imperfections. The skin is the body%26#039;s first line of defense against the environment. It has to deal with the effects of weather, sun , cold, heat, dryness, humidity, scrapes, bumps, soaps, detergents, chemicals, perspiration and dirt of all kinds. It is a wonder that our skin stays healthy most of the time! We can help our skin deal with this onslaught by optimizing our general health and by protecting our skin from harsh environmental exposure. Western medicine generally treats skin eruptions with either antibiotics, cortisone, or antifungal preparations. These medicines may alleviate the skin problem temporarily, or occasionally for good, but do not address the source of the problem. Putting a lid on skin symptoms without getting to the root of the imbalance may even result in suppression, that means the imbalance may be driven deeper causing more serious health problems later without ever strengthening the underlying vital force of the person. Fortunately, naturopathic medicine offers a wide vareity of effective treatments for skin problems.%26quot;
Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - %26quot;Your skin is a reflection of how well your body is eliminating the toxins that build up on a daily basis. Chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis stem from a combination of genetic factors, immune stress, dietary deficiencies or sensitivities, and the accumulation of toxins in the body. For our skin to be radiant and clear, it is very important that the other organs of elimination (kidneys, liver, lungs, and colon) are cleansing the body effectively. If not, the skin will be overtaxed, pores will become clogged, and eruptions of one sort or another will result. Here are a number of steps you can take to improve your body%26#039;s overall elimination wtih specific emphasis on your skin.%26quot;
Detoxification is a normal body process of eliminating or neutralizing toxins through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. Juice Fasting is the world%26#039;s most ancient and natural healing mechanism. Fasting triggers a truly wondrous cleansing process that reaches right down to each and every cell and tissue in the body.
Learn more about Therapeutic Fasting and Detoxification - Colon Cleansing is the main step. Must remove the toxins from the colon, so the toxins dont get in the blood and cause illness and disease.
Natural Cures
1. Fruits and Vegetables for Acne: Carrot %26amp; spinach, celery %26amp; watercress, grapefruit juices are all useful to combat acne.
2. Unwholesome Foods: Acne, a prevalent problem among teen-aged boys would not be possible in our society if our foods were wholesome. A most sad and disgusting sight is the pus-filled pimples due to inner toxicity --- wastes trying desperately to escape through the face. This condition often turns a gentle face in the blossom of youth into a waste dump of pimples, pus and subsequent pock marks which can be prevented. The tons of acne medications and prescriptions sold annually act only on the effect of the harmful food, and not the cause of the disease, malnutrition. The traditional teenage meal, a grease burger, french fries and a milk shake or cola simply does not provide enough nourishment for anyone, let alone a boy going through puberty to adulthood. Our highly processed foods are devoid of hormones found in fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. Must do a colon cleanse to rid of all the toxins in the body, which eventually get into the blood and cause acne and all other diseases.
3. Cabbage: Apply a lotion of freshly prepared cabbage juice preceded, if desired, by the application of leaves. The eating of cabbage leaves or juice is also helpful.
4. Lemon Juice: Skin problems such as acne... will often respond to a treatment of lemon juice. For blackheads rub lemon juice over them each night.
5. Black Walnut: Externally, Black Walnut is nearly a miracle worker in cases of ...acne, dandruff, boils, itch, shingles, ringworm--we could go on, but you can see that you can use Black Walnut whenever a skin disorder appears! The tincture is an excellent first-aid remedy for wounds.
Best of health to you|||Acne is caused by the staph bacteria coming to fight off the dirt and oil clogging the pores. Antibiotics are what is needed to get the staph bacteria under control. The main reason not to pop the pimples is because that spreads that staph bacteria all over your face. Staph as you know is contagious so why spread more bacteria all over? See your doc and get on antibiotic therapy to get this under control.|||I get them around my period too, didn%26#039;t start til I turned 28.
I use Neutrogena Pore cleanser in the white squeeze bottle, everyday. A few of their cleansers have Beta Hydroxy, which is what you need. The generic is fine too.
They%26#039;ve been much better since I started using it.

If not, the skin will be overtaxed, pores will become clogged, and eruptions of one sort or another will result. Here are a number of steps you can take to improve your body%26#039;s overall elimination wtih specific emphasis on your skin.%26quot;
Give it a try.

How do I treat adult acne?
Since going off the pill in May I have developed horrible acne. I have tiny bumps all over my face. I%26#039;m 30 years old and I have NEVER had acne, not even as a teenager so this is very frustrating. I know my hormones are all messed up from going off the pill. Any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated. |||hi, we%26#039;re on the same channel :) just lately i noticed that im having some acne (i think a side effect of some certain drugs i take, and stress)...ok, i tried going to a dermatologist and she prescribed me some stuffs to put on my face (about five) and then aside from that i was given an isotretinoin capsule to stop oil secretion/sebum. also try to watch your diet, avoid oily foods, and get enough sleep. wash your face twice a day. and yeah, i forgot to tell, as our age increases, our skin pores get bigger too, and thats one culprit of acne...||| You need to see what you are eating. I have tried the dermatologist, everything he prescribed didnt work. Using Proactive for about 6 weeks and nothing still! Tried Biore products and similar ones that are over the counter and nothing! Also took antibiotics and that didnt help either. Am I just going to have to be an ugly bumpy faced freak forever? HELP!|||Try an endocrinologist. Maybe your problem is hormonal. If that doesn%26#039;t work, I suggest you try a doctor specializing in homeopathic/naturalistic remedies. Good luck. I have friends and relatives who have suffered through the same problem. They got very emotional about it.
If you are a female and also have issues with irregular periods along with your acne, you may have a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: PCOS. An endocrinologist can help you diagnose (or rule out) that condition. Women with PCOS typically, but no always, experience amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea (absent or very infrequent periods), infertility (as a result of irregular periods), unexplained weight gain, hirsutism (abnormal hair growth on face, arms, groin, etc) and sometimes uncontrollable acne. PCOS can, however, be asymptomatic or be accompanied by some, rather than all, above mentioned symptoms.
If you cannot see an endocrinologist due to insurance coverage, ask your gynecologist to run some tests to check your hormone levels, specifically to rule out PCOS, including the testosterone level.
I feel confident this information will help you. I think your dermatologist didn%26#039;t search deep enough.

Alternatives to antibiotics for adult acne????
Does anyone have any tried and true suggestions for diet, supplements, etc. to help treat adult acne?
I keep reading online that diet/food has nothing to do with acne and breakouts. And, I%26#039;m not talking a pimple here and there. I mean a forehead covered.
I have tetracycline, but am hesitant to use antibiotics for months at a time just to clear up my skin. Is there anyone else who suffers with adult acne, and what have you tried that helps?
I%26#039;ve already used Pro Activ and spents loads of money on Dermalogica. Any new suggestions??
Thank you!!!|||I have used Clarins, Clinique, prescription medication cream, prescription pills...etc......I started using proactiv and that was WONDERFUL.....I used for about 2 years and for some reason it just didn%26#039;t work as well.
I%26#039;m in my 30%26#039;s and the proactiv just isn%26#039;t working like it used to. My sister introduced me to Desert Essence Joboba Oil. its all natural. I would have NEVER PUT OIL ON MY FACE...because I would break out...but I trusted her and IT WORKED!! I have been using it for 2 weeks now, and the results are fantastic and alot cheaper than Proactiv. I buy the joboba oil from www.vitacost.com...seems to be the cheapest in regards to shipping costs too.
I wash my face with Cetaphil or the generic....and then use a small amount of the oil and pat it into my face....or you can put it on a cottonball and apply it that way...I only use at night, since it is oily. I have been doing alot of research on it and it seems that the gentler you are to your face the better it will look, instead of scrubbing it.....
I have found the oil locally for around $10 but online you can get it for like 6 dollars. I am also looking into the face wash they have... oh, and they do have an anti-bacterial face wash too, that might be good to help get all the infection out of your pores. another tip - Tea Tree Oil is good for acne.
You can buy that anywhere I think....I think it is stronger and you only need a little. I hope this helps and good luck! Everyone%26#039;s facial needs are going to be different and affect us all in different ways. I hope you find the right remedy for you. So you can feel more confident.
Drink lots of water - and yes, I do believe a good diet will help with acne.
If you have a local health food store or GNC you can get the Jojoba oil there, or your local Wegman%26#039;s grocery store.
Hope this helps a little at least, I understand what you are going through.|||It all depends on what kinds of pimple you get.
For cystic acne, wexler - overnight acnostate repair lotion, mariobadescu - buffering lotion, christine valmy - acne products seem to work well for people.
For regular breakouts, clinique line, murad products, or most of the stuff sold in sephora or macy%26#039;s seem to solve problems.
For your case you said you get pimples on your forehead so I%26#039;d suggest you make sure your hair is clean and avoid using hair stylers such as gel, mouss, leave-in conditioner or anything that can touch your face and forehead. Wearing a hat or cap that cover your forehead won%26#039;t prevent forehead pimples. And go to bed for enough sleep and you will see the difference. Good luck!|||Yeah dont use pro activ that stuff is a waste...for forehead acne it is extremely important that you keep your hair clean...take a shower with shampoo every day...then when you get out moisturize with an oil free moisturizer then cover problem areas with benzoyl peroxide cream....DRINK ALOT OF WATER, as much as you can, you should be peeing non stop...buy some multivitamins and take as intended...exercising also helps but make sure you wipe the sweat off and shower afterwards...dont pop the zits...there are also acne creams meant for adult acne, try that.....thats all i can think of right now|||IMO, diet and food has a lot to do with acne as well as overall health. I would skip the rice, bread, potatoes, sugar, greasy foods and fried foods.
What works for me is cleaning my face with Peroxide after I wash with Neutrogena. Thereafter, I follow up with Witch Hazel.
I keep reading online that diet/food has nothing to do with acne and breakouts. And, I%26#039;m not talking a pimple here and there. I mean a forehead covered.

Tips for treating adult acne?
I am 26 and I have always had issues with my skin. Breakouts are not uncommon for me and I have tried many different over the counter remedies as well as perscription. Proactiv and Murad didn%26#039;t cause any miracles for me. It is only on my face though. During my pregnancy, I am guessing due to hormones my upper back and shoulders broke out with painful, large, acne. It has been 2 months now since I had my daughter, but they are still there. The same ones, they are not going anywhere. They shrink and then get big again. I know this is all kinda gross, but what can I do? Any home remedies?|||Your hormones can take up to a year to go back to normal after pregnancy. I am also 26 and have acne. Birth control pills helped but you know what really helped? Neosporin. I read about it in a magazine and I find that after washing my face and putting Neosporin on my skin cleared up a lot. Especially if you pop a white head and put it on the popped zit. It makes the zits go away a lot faster. It makes sense if you think about it because most zits are caused by bacteria (hormones increase the amount of oil on the skin and bacteria gets caught in the pores and oil.)|||My skin got awful when I was pregnant with our daughter - it was gorgeous when I was having our son though!
It took a few months for my acne to clear up. I never had perfect skin as a teen or ever either - I find that the best thing for it is drinking water and washing with a gentle soap like neutrogena or aveeno. |||Go to a dermatologist. You may have cystic acne- sounds like it if it is painful and large. Stuff like Proactiv will not work on it. I doubt any home remedies will. |||I have never been pregnant but I have been battling bad breakouts for the last 15 years. I tried using so many products: Proactive, moisturizers, glycolic acid regimes, a sulfur mask twice a week, salicylic acid spot treatments, etc etc and I kept breaking out. Mostly around my mouth and on my cheeks, deep painful breakouts that would leave dark spots that would take weeks to fade. I am 28 now and FINALLY feel like I may have found a solution and its so simple. A friend suggested I just leave my skin alone and see what happened. I was scared that it would get worse but I figured it was worth a shot! I have been washing my face twice a day with plain antibacterial cleanser (just the liquid hand soap I have in my bathroom anyway) and moisturizing with an anti-aging face lotion (olay) and before bed I use a TINY bit of benzoyl peroxide combined with lots of moisturizer. My skin is soooo much better! I think before my skin was freaking out from too many products! I hope you have the same success if you think this might work for you!

Covering up pimples? Adult acne?
This is kind of embarassing. When I was a teen, I was blessed with relatively clear skin and never wore much make up. However, now in my adult years I am starting to break out...and when I break out, it%26#039;s not like a couple of small, manageable red bumps. I get like 5 Jupiter-sized bumps on my face all at once. I have been experimenting with covering them up with make-up but they still seem pretty noticeable to me, just maybe less red. Help, please? Thank you!!|||Well im going with same proplem as you are , my father is a pharmacist and he told me you cant heal them naturally but to have less make sure to wash your face daily and when you see a pimple make sure to put some alcohol on it it will kill 50 % of the bacteria and there is alot of lotions you an use ..
hope this help|||well I%26#039;m not an adult I%26#039;m a teen but i know wat you go threw because my face has been breaking out since i was 8 or9 but make up doesn%26#039;t`t really help i makes things work first you need to go to an dermatologist and ask whats best for your skin hiding it with make up takes the beauty away from your skin so what your face seems to breakout get help don%26#039;t make it worse only time you should really where make up is if your going out but if you hide your pimples and scares people will think different about you and if you dont know wat i mean you really dont want to find out
MS.DIVA:)|||I think you should try to eliminate the planets from your face first! Try using a deep pore cleanser such as Seriesse%26#039;s Glycolic Cleanser and also a spot treatment like Seriesse%26#039;s Dry-Lo. By trying to cover them up you may be clogging the pores even more. Mineral makeup has a pretty good coverage and will not clog the pores. You could try a mineral concealer and then the foundation over that.
Good Luck!|||okay my mothers a dermetologist. First of all, make-up isnt hoinh to help! Makeup will only make your face more oily and prone to pimples. Now of coarse make-up is a daily routine. SO. Go to a drug store (CVS) and get CLEAN AND CLEAR daily pore scrub and the daily pore toner. It would also be good to find the same brand of acne moisturizer. That will help ALOT esp. if you use it daily. SECOND-try Pro-active solution. look it up online. Third-accutane...also look that up. Its a medicated pill and it dries up your skin and renews it, it works like a charm. Hope I helped!

Help me from adult acne?
I am 20 year old guy
and my daily routine is perfectly fine.
I don%26#039;t do drugs, smoke, drink, or whatsoever.
Both of my parents did not suffer from acne that much
my sister has fine normal skin.
but me, i don%26#039;t know why.
im ******* 20 years old and i am still suffering from acne
it is even worse than when i was in high school
i ******* curse my life because of this
i never got this much of stress from acne because it wasn%26#039;t too bad.
I started to take more care of acne, and it is even getting worse.
If you know someone that is freaking clean that he or she has to wash his or her hands after touching something that was in public, well, that would be me.
I am a clean person, and I just ******* hate how people tell me washing myself well is a solution when i am ******* cleaner than them.
my skin is so weird too
when i wash my face, it gets EXTREMELY dry, i can barely do my facial expression because it is so dried. However if certain amount of time is passed, it gets EXTREMELY oily that disgusts me.
I have pretty much of healthy diet, I avoid fast food and oily food as well.
another thing i hate is when acne is gone, the spot stays RED
for like forever.
I am in such a agony and can anybody please give me some
advice????
I can%26#039;t seriously afford to go to hospital or purchase some crazy product, which makes me even more sad.
No one can understand unless you suffer from samething too...
I can almost cry... seirously... ah....
help-|||Unfortunately skin washes for teenage acne tend to be pretty harsh, as they are designed for greasy skin. If you are drying out your skin, then it will produce extra oil to try and rehydrate, which will make your spots worse. Try using a very gentle face wash designed for sensitive/dry skin, and use an oil-free moisturiser afterwards (I swear by Clinique Dramatically Different gel, but there are cheaper options that should work for you too - ask at department store beauty counters for advice and you should be able to score some free samples to try out).
Benzoyl peroxide works for some adults, although it dries the skin out so if dryness is a problem it might make it worse. Ditto salicylic acid.
I%26#039;ve actually been seeing a dramatic drop in the number and severity of my spots after I started taking a vitamin E supplement. Not only have some scientific studies found vitamin E helps prevent acne, but it should also help with the dryness. Of course it may not work for everyone but at least it%26#039;s a cheap and harmless remedy to try before opting for more expensive, harsher treatments.
My brother-in-law, who had really bad acne on his face, chest and back, used a product called Ketsugo for several years before he started taking roaccutane - it did improve his skin a little.|||Drink lots of water and try not to stress too much about it as stress if known to make acne worse. Also acne goes away pretty fast when you know how to get rid of body toxins. I used this method and has been acne free since then http://acnefreein3days.net-reviews.info You can try it if you like.
Good Luck|||try or google sulfur soap you want 10% sulfur soap and try in combination jojoba oil, this will unclog your pores clear up your blemishes. Google each product and see what you thinks.|||Not if you have had it your whole life, my aunt is in her 40s now and still has acne. I would try something like ProActive to help clear the acne. The best way to stop the flare ups is keeping your face clean. If that doesn%26#039;t work for you go see a Dermatologist and figure out another solution. Just because you have it doesn%26#039;t mean you have to be stuck w/it...there are options! Good Luck
Diet and lifestyle has as much to do with it as your hormone levels and genetics. There is hope however and I know of a good many people who%26#039;ve eventually gotten completely rid of it and for good.|||I%26#039;ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it%26#039;s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I%26#039;m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I%26#039;ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It%26#039;s unique cause of it%26#039;s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn%26#039;t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.|||I know what you%26#039;re going through. I%26#039;ve been there.
Accutane will cure your acne but it%26#039;s expensive.
Acne is caused by hormones. Diet won%26#039;t make a difference.
You are washing your face too much if it gets that dry. (I get that it%26#039;s greasy but washing it that much makes it worse.) Wash your face with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil.
If you have little money I suggest you try over-the-counter benzyl peroxide lotions or Stri-Dex pads. They do help.
Also there%26#039;s Tend Skin or products like it that contain salicylic acid (aspirin) in alchohol that works to keep the pores from clogging to begin with. It is rather strong. I would use it only on certain areas, not all over.
Taking oral Erythromycin or Tetracycline daily will get rid of acne, as long as you take them. But you have to buy them. There are also antibiotic lotions that will help but, again, you have to buy them.
You can get rid of those red spots with hydroquinone creams commonly used to bleach all kinds of skin issues. (It%26#039;s cheap, you can get it at Walgreen%26#039;s)
Another thing that would help is steaming your face. Boil some water in a medium sized pot. Take it off the stove. Hold a towel around the pot and your head. with your face in the steam. Sit there for a few minutes. The steam will bring the circulation to the skin, help melt some of that oil, add moisture and give your skin a fresher look.
Another treatment that people say works is exposure to blue LED lights. They have these machines just for acne treatments. This is probably fairly expensive.
If I think of anything else, I will add it.

Best remedy for adult acne - senistive skin?
Can anyone give a idea of a best product to use for adult acne when you have sensitive skin. If I use any of the mainstream branded products, it%26#039;s too strong for my skin, it drys out, its goes really red and blisters. I can%26#039;t even use Witch, Neutrogena, Oxy, Clean and Clear etc. Only product I can get away with is Clearasil for sensitive skin, I can wash my face without drying out, but I don%26#039;t have a clear complexion, I still get blackheads and breakouts. Any ideas?
I don%26#039;t smoke, I dont eat red meat, or alot of chocolate, or drink achohol. I eat quite alot of veg and fruit. I use Agnus Castus to help regulate my Hormones in case its realated.
Thanks x|||I had a problem like yours. I never did find a product that worked well for me. The cause became obvious when I went on a strict organic diet. My skin problems were traceable to the man-made chemicals in the cow%26#039;s milk from the cow%26#039;s body. Non-organic milk is in a wide variety of processed foods also. Chemicals in food and environment interact with the body function regulating neurons in the autonomic nervous system. That%26#039;s why sniffing the wrong substance can cause brain damage and other health problems. Neurons can be bothered by chemicals in even trace amounts, if the neuron is weak for a variety of reasons. In my situation, it%26#039;s apparent that the chemicals in milk were perhaps over-stimulating neurons for hormones or skin secretions. Neurons can over-react to stimulation from chemicals and start a chain reaction that causes a health problem - called an autonomic neuropathy - the cause of most common health problems. Neuron health varies from one to the next. My skin has never been clearer.
If you%26#039;d like to try an organic diet, just remember to read all labels and avoid any non-organic ingredients, stick with only organic whole milk, eat only organic cheeses, only canned foods packed in spring water, drink and cook with only spring water, use only pickling salt, use only neproxen sodium. Neurons can be made more sensitive from chemicals in the environment too so only use unscented laundry detergent and avoid fabric softeners unless baking soda (organic mineral), which can also be substituted for laundry detergent. Wash all bedding, pillows, drapes, and lampshades. Avoid scented things in general, use only very natural soaps (health food store) and baking soda for toothpaste. Good luck to you.

Can we prevent Adult acne?
I am still getting acne and in my early 40s.. i also have scars left by the acne. How do I get rid of it and prevent it. I took some really strong acne medicine for 6 mths and it cleared it all up. But I couldn%26#039;t take it any longer after that becos its not good for the womb. So after stopping it, the acne is back.. I just want to try something more natural|||I have the same problem hun and no there is no known cure for acne..
Just when I finally had my acne under control...BOOM perimenopause hits and messes it all up...But I am winning the battle..:)
Although Pro Active is a good skin line , there is 1 drawback...
The benzoyl peroxide in the lotion will stain colored towels white..
There is an agressive medication you can take but you have to get it from your doc... Accutane will clear up ance for good..
Drawbacks.....If you are clinically depressed you cannot take product..
The side effects of this med are extensive and some can be severe...
My solution to few problems...
Pernox.. Its an aggresive sulpur scrub that can be purchased at any Wal-Greens store... Its costly but well worth it .. The bottle cost 20.00 and usually last me about 3 weeks..You can find it in the skincare isle or ask the pharmasist if they can order it..
Best product I have ever found...
I also use a moisturizer .. Phisoderm has one that has few irritating ingredients and works well to atleast restore moisture , which is necessary ....
For blemishes that appear.. try using a fast drying spot treatment make sure the product has sulphur in it...I use...bye bye blemish which can be found at a Sally%26#039;s Beauty store .. Not sure who else might carry the product but I do know , it works well....
Also, try taking omega flax seed oil capsules .. you can find them anywhere ex... Wal-mart..The omega capsules are good for skin and hair...
Drink lots of water ... it helps flush the toxins outta of overly sensitive skin...
Stay away from caffeine products ... They irritate the skin...
Eat lots of veges....
be careful with milk products .... They have hormones in them that can irritate skin..
or go organic...I am 100% organic because of all the steroids and junk in regular commercial foods...
Also, take a vitamin... and extra vit C .. and zinc.... Good for the skin...
My acne is under control but I do still have little flare ups every so often and they can usually be linked back to food, stress, or some chemical product...
Below I listed some sites that you might find helpful...

Why did God created Acne for teenagers and adults?
serious answers please..|||My daughter is struggling with the same thing... right around her nose. She HATES it. There are a few other things I%26#039;d like to know the reasoning behind as well. Best wishes...|||Maybe you should try easing up on the cleansers.
Like any other body system, your skin oils will become heavier and thicker the more it gets used, or in this case, need to be replaced.
Sometimes cleaning too much (overcleaning) can cause your skin to produce more oil, as your body can%26#039;t figure out why it%26#039;s all being stripped away.
Also, lay off the sodas and colas. I pretty much stopped a while back, and it%26#039;s done wonders for me.
Try drinking some more water, too. It will take some of that pore-clogging crap out of your system when you pee (which should be clear).
Oh, and go easy on the deep-fried and breaded foods, too.
It takes a concerted effort and a few weeks, but if you actually do all these instead of just saying you will, you can actually get much clearer skin.

Why adolescents experience more acne than adults?
They are changing and growing at a fast pace.
Many previously unused hormones are kicking in for the first time. That causes the breakouts.|||The main reason for this precaution is that the facial tissue is more sensitive and finer than those tissues of the body. It is this increased blood flow which will bring more nutrients to the skin. Also note that adult acne is sometimes the by-product of stress and dehydration. As for adolescents-it%26#039;s the hormones.|||because during the years of adolescence your body is unstable in its hormone production. acne is a direct result of this although many adults can suffer it as well especially pre-menopausal/menopausal women. as an adult your hormones level out...you don%26#039;t need quite as much quantity to grow and develop any more so the rate of acne drops a lot.|||Adolescents experience more acne because their hormones are rageing and their hormones are making them produce more oil that would clog the sebeacous gland; that would soon later form a pimple or acne.

Is it true that people who suffer from acne as teens and young adults (18-2___ yrs) don't get acne as adults?
I%26#039;ve heard of this a lot. And I want to know if it is true....Someone know the real answer? Thanks.|||Acne or blemish-prone skin is a remarkably common skin condition. While many adolescents may experience acne, this condition also can appear for the first time in adults in their 20s or 30s or even later in life. Generally, however, if you had acne as a teenager, you are more likely to have it again as an adult. Eighty to 100 percent of all teenagers have acne to some degree, and an increasing number of adult women also have some acne.

Excessive scrubbing or frequent cleansing will not control it, and any rough manipulation of the skin may further irritate and inflame the lesions or even lead to the formation of new acne lesions.

Why do some adults still get acne?
Please help
And how to get rid of it|||I%26#039;m 22 and I still get minor breakouts and it%26#039;s because I have oily skin. The plus side is that if you have oily skin, which you very well may, you are less likely to have wrinkles since your skin doesn%26#039;t dry out.
If you have really bad acne, I suggest the prescription Accutane (it%26#039;s a pill that you take once a day). It%26#039;s basically the ultimate cure for acne. I used to have it on my cheeks, but after 3 months my skin was completely clear. The max. time to take it is 6 months but my skin wasn%26#039;t that bad.
For breakouts I suggest the prescription Differin gel. After one day it%26#039;s dried out, and after 2 it%26#039;s clear. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or Neutrogena.
I used Proactive when I had persistent breakouts, but it really dried my skin and it was uncomfortable right after I washed my face.
All in all, a gentle cleanser and prescription gel work best.|||Causes of adult acne...
1.Bad diet is number one cause of adult-onset acne. Bad diet, which robs us of essential nutrients and disrupts both digestive ecology and healthy hormonal balance
2. Hormones, which, again, easily get out of balance due to inappropriate food, stress, hormone-containing medication, birth-control pills, and changes brought by the monthly cycle, menopause and pregnancy.
3. Genes. Hereditary element can worsen adult acne, especially in severe cases of so-called “scarring acne”.
4. Synthetic face-care products and makeup, which clog the pores and disrupt the acid-alkaline balance of the face skin. Needless to say that, if you want to have a clean skin, you always should opt for natural and preferably home-made creams and other beauty products for your face.
What are the solutions?
Change your diet, switch to natural face-care products, and be patient - your body will need some time to restore the balance and cure your skin. A great natural approach to treating adult acne is described here.
However, if you want immediate results, you can try some of numerous acne medications (which usually just mask the symptoms and which I therefore do not recommend). By the time you are in your late teens or early 20s you shouldn%26#039;t have a problem.|||A lot is hormones. Wash your face in the morning and at night, with a face wash, not regular soap. You might need something stronger, like ProActive. I use that. Don%26#039;t pick the pimples - especially the red, deep ones! Just the white ones where the stuff is right at the surface, and wait as long as you can bear to for those too. If you do pick it, then go wash it with face wash right away.

Does anyone know the name of the drugs prescribed for adults with acne?
There are several. The one that I%26#039;m familiar with is called Accutane. It is very strong and you have to have a prescription from a dermatologist. In addition to that you would have to be monitored through blood work labs on a regular basis. The treatment works but it can get expensive.
I would recommend Pro-Activ though. I have several family members that have tried it and it works. It is not as expensive as Accutane and it doesn%26#039;t have the side effects that Accutane does.|||This depends on the patient%26#039;s age, the site and the severity.
Usual first option is a degreaser most of these are peroxide based. Next step is an antibiotic, this can be topical or oral. Final option is Roacutane, which is only prescribable by specialist dermatologists, due to its potential side effects.|||Yeah, its called SOAP.|||I was given a cream script from just a general practitioner Dr. a long time ago and had gotten a new one for tiny insect bites. The one for those tiny bites didn%26#039;t help so much for the bites but when a few pimples surfaced on my head I used that at nite and showered every morning. They cleared up ok but seems from what I read about it there are dangers. I think you should see a doctor and until then keep washing the affected area but pat dry, don%26#039;t rub, to prevent spreading, try not using any harsh abrasives on the affected area%26#039;s to prevent scaring.|||there are sooooo many

What diseases cause acne and weight gain in adults?
Aside from thyroid problems and stress, what could be causing me to gain weight and develop horrid acne at age 29? I%26#039;ve seen my general practice doctor and a dermatologist but no one can figure it out. I think no one is seeing the big picture and that something underlying is causing this. Any ideas? We%26#039;ve ruled out thyroid, over-eating and stress. Thanks for your help!|||Two things I can think of to investigate first of all:
Cushing%26#039;s syndrome - caused by too much of a hormone called cortisol. Causes weight gain (especially centrally, i.e. on the belly but not on arms and legs), stretch marks, acne and high blood sugar.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) - where there is a hormonal imbalance with slightly too much testosterone. Causes weight gain, acne, hairiness (e.g. facial hair) and irregular periods. Obviously only applies to women!
These can be investigated with blood tests and/or by an endocrinologist. Good luck!|||A poor metabolism of fat and insulin resistance that is a vast subject. Please goggle for this.|||Insulin problems, like insulin resistance.

Adult Acne? Can anyone help?
So I am almost 23, and even though I have had acne since I was 12, it has gotten a lot worse over the past few years. I have been able to manage it, but never make it go away. I grew up in Texas (very humid climate).
When I moved to Las Vegas 3 months ago (very dry climate), my acne went wild. I figured it was because of the stress of moving across the country, but I am totally happy now and moved in 3 months later, and it is still going crazy. I have 3 new pimples everyday and they will not go away!! Usually the dry climate helps with my oily skin (like when I am on vacation in a dry climate) and my skin doesnt feel dry right now (it feels soft except for the pimples, I use Clinique dramatically different gel every morning) so I dont think I need more moisturizer.
So long story short....what the heck can I do? I have tried E V E R Y thing and nothing even helps a little bit. I have done super harsh washes, medium strength, and natural remedies. I read in Self magazine that sometimes the harsh minerals in a city%26#039;s water can cause a waxy build up and that a chelator can help, but I cannot find any cleansers with a chelator in them.
My skin is super oily but also sensitive...does anyone have my type of skin or situation, or have any suggestions? I am desparate, and please only answer if you have skin like mine or know of people with my experiences.|||That isn%26#039;t %26quot;cross country%26quot;... that%26#039;s only half way! :)
Cut your hair.
Keep your hair washed... wash it every morning and every afternoon or evening. The oil from your hair is a big part of this.

Adult Acne caused by pregnancy.?
I had my daughter 7 weeks ago and i am now suffering from what the doctor calls Adult acne on my back and chest .She said it would go 6 weeks after having my daugther but it is getting worse.Last week she gave me antibotics which has no difference at all.I am going to go back to the doctors next week for something else to try rid of it.
My question is has anyone else experienced this during and after pregnancy and did it go away after some time and how long? Did it go away by itself or what was you given to get rid of it?|||i am three and a half months right now, and i have recently been breaking out really really bad .. only on my face though !! with my daughter i had it on my chest , but i just kind of went away on it*s own .. i wish i knew of some kinda of face wash or something i could use the would get rid of it too !! good luck and congrats on your daughter !!|||hi. i had the most healthy skin when i was pregnant. a week after having the baby my skin went oily and so did my hair.
my skin got better after a few months but my hair still is oily and need to wash it every day.
hope you get it sorted.|||I am in my first trimester and my skin has been breaking out more than normal. your skins really stretching, causing it to be like this and because of the hormones it will become greasy too.
soak the area with HOT water, this will open your pores. then, put on a cleanser which contains little bits (mines had little blue bits in it-but makes sure u can use it for pregnancy), then once youve scrubbed the area with a clean flannel, wipe it all off with HOT water, once its all off.. rinse with freezing cold water, this will then close the pores up. it worked for me :) do it every day, day and night. good luck.

Adult acne driving me crazy :(?
I%26#039;m almost 23 and have been having issues with acne since I was about 20. I made it through all of my teenage years with perfect skin and though I was home free. I have tried proactive, acnefree, topical medications, and also birth control. Nothing seems to help. The pimples are whiteheads or big red ones and I usually have about 4-5 at a time. What can I do to get rid of this acne?

My dermatologist put me on a prescription cream (Retin-A Micro .04%, though you may be given something different, but it%26#039;s besides the point) and it cleared up my skin significantly. I don%26#039;t get those big ugly whiteheads like I used to, and my skin is a lot smoother and softer too. So go see your dermatologist. =)|||I am 23 year old male, and I struggled with acne since I was a kid. What I found that works the best is to change your diet. For example, I used to drink nothing but Pepsi and now I don%26#039;t. By not drinking soda anymore, its like night and day with my acne. Also, greasy foods tend to make me break out. Chocolate does it pretty bad for me so I limit this. Recap, try not drinking soda. If you already don%26#039;t drink soda, look at other things you ingest. I was amazed with the difference not drinking soda made. It was hard not to drink soda, but it was worth it.

Adult Acne w/warm weather-HELP!?
I%26#039;m 24 and have acne through puberty, but it mellowed out as I got older. But no matter what, II still have blackheads on my nose and those little tiny white pimples where 1/2 of em are under the skin and don%26#039;t go away even after squeezing-it%26#039;s like their under my skin permanently! (I get the tiny pimples on my cheeks and some deep blackheads (like 4) on my forehead, and about 3 deep blackheads on my chin. My nose has enlarged pores and I can see all the blackheads, My pores are visible around the apples of my cheeks too. I hate squeezing them b/c I don%26#039;t want nto scar up my face. I always get 1 or 2 zits come my time of the month which I know is normal, but I want to minimize my pores and get rid of those black and whiteheads once and for all! I%26#039;ve tried alot of cleansers/toners, but w/my comb skin, I just get dry flaky skin around my nose and mouth even after moisturizing. I just started pro activ but it made it worse. Is it normal to get worse b4 getting better?|||Dermatologist. It sounds like your skin is giving you a hard time. You could also try that new Zeno thing - even though it%26#039;s expensive, it gets relatively good ratings, and for those deep blackheads and white pimples that dont go away, Zeno might help. You could also try microdermabrasion to minimiize your pores. If you don%26#039;t want something so expensive, you could try some simple Biore cleansers that are pore-minimizing. Don%26#039;t get really harsh, grainy exfoliators, because they will break open your whiteheads and spread the pus over your face. Get a good chemical exfoliator
And for toners, use an alcohol-free one so it won%26#039;t dry out your skin. Moisturize a lot, and instead of using concealer, try using tinted moisturizer to give it some more moisture AND some sun protection.
and consider mineral makeup for cover up. It works, even if you think it%26#039;s powder.

Adult Acne - Product and Regimen Advice?
Please help.....LOL

Adult acne- please help?
i am 26 yrs old, and for the last couple of years have had pretty bad breakouts. just recently (like the last 6-8 months) it has spread- i%26#039;ll get breakouts on my neck, some on my chest, and even some on my back!
i%26#039;ve tried many different products- clean and clear stress control, biore ice wash, clean and clear antibacterial, cetaphil, i%26#039;ve even gotten a prescription of differin- which dried my face out terrible! i don%26#039;t know what to do-
i even eat somewhat healthier now, i drink plenty of water, i%26#039;ve cut down on sodas, caffeine, candy... i do still eat fried foods, but not nearly as much as i used to.
i%26#039;m fairly clean- i shower daily, before i go to bed. i just recently started changing my pillow cases every 2 days.
i just don%26#039;t know what to do. it%26#039;s painful, and is leaving marks and scars.... what should i do?|||okay first things first, your diet doesn%26#039;t cause acne despite what some people say, your Hygiene has nothing to do with it either, i%26#039;m 26 and I first started getting acne at the wee age of 12 and i%26#039;ve had it ever since despite being put on various medications/lotions from my Dermatologist, my diet is good and I don%26#039;t smoke but I still get bad acne, it actually got worse as I got older. If you haven%26#039;t already then it may be a good time to arrange with your doctor to see a dermatologist, as some medications may work for you even if they don%26#039;t work for everybody. Don%26#039;t bother with all the so called face-washes and creams you can buy in the shops supposedly for spots as they are just simply a waste of money. Try tea tree soap to wash your face with, which is anti bacterial, making sure you don%26#039;t share your soap with anyone else, good luck!|||Hello, well I am sorry I do not know what the cause is from but try using Swiss Glutathione bar. I really like it. I recommended it to a lot people and they loved it. You can use it where ever the acne is. I hate those pimples and i get them on chest and back. This bar is a whitenifn agent. While it cleanses your skin it whitens it so your skin tone is even, also gets rid of blemishes. Ive been using this product for about 4 months and love it. DO not go on a day without it. It will make your skin whiter but its okay at least your pimple healing. At first it might dry your skin out but dont worry just use mostiurizer. I like Biore nourish moisyure lotion daily recharging. It also has spf 15 for the summer. Also if you over use it might start to burn so lay off of it for a day or two and it gets better. I had that happen but i never give it up. I didnt see results right away but like 2 weeks after using it was great. made my skin feel so smooth! I hoped I help. Also you can buy it on ebay. thats what I do.
i%26#039;ve tried many different products- clean and clear stress control, biore ice wash, clean and clear antibacterial, cetaphil, i%26#039;ve even gotten a prescription of differin- which dried my face out terrible! i don%26#039;t know what to do-
i even eat somewhat healthier now, i drink plenty of water, i%26#039;ve cut down on sodas, caffeine, candy... i do still eat fried foods, but not nearly as much as i used to.
i%26#039;m fairly clean- i shower daily, before i go to bed. i just recently started changing my pillow cases every 2 days.

Adult acne..and scarring?
All my life I have had great if not close to perfect skin, 3 years ago I went on a party binge that lasted a couple years, I never drank at home, but I went out 3 nights a week. I quit drinking this last year, I also quit smoking. once I quit both of those, I started breaking out really bad, I don%26#039;t pick, I know better but some of the outbreak spots were so bad they left purple marks on my face at the site. I%26#039;ve tried everything to make my skin pretty again and nothing is working. I%26#039;m still getting serious pimples from time to time as well. I%26#039;m 31. what can I do? I really want to focus on the scarring.|||hi, i%26#039;m not sure what could stop the spots from coming, maybe witch or tea tree oil. but there is something you can get for the scarring its called bio oil and works really well and is relatively cheap. and not a surgical procedure!|||Make an appointment with a dermatologist and please don麓t try to apply things on your face without a good knowledge of it.
anyway my pimples and acne started on me when i was 14, it went up to 16 but I tried everything, eating healthy, sporting, using medicine but it turned out it was hormones. I don麓t what happened but since my 16th birtyday it stopped, I麓m now 18.|||To make the old scares go away go and have a professional peel done.
It is a little costly a few hundred dollars but it works and this will take a lot of the dead cells off that block your pores so this will help your break out.|||go to a dermatologist and discuss your options
