I have been suffering from adult acne for a long time. I feel it affects every area of my life. I am miserable in my job and hesitant to look for another for fear the way I look will turn employers off. Just how much are people judged by the way they look? In all other ways I am attractive.|||Here are some tips to help you:
- don%26#039;t touch your face with your hands, as this encourages the spread to bacteria which contributes to acne.
- if your hair is hanging in your face, keep it out of your face with clips, etc., as hair in your face contributes to oiliness and acne.
- don%26#039;t over wash or scrub your face ... just use a gentle cleansing system in the morning and evening. Overwashing or scrubbing just irritates your skin more and can spread bacteria.
With any acne treatment system you decide to use, it will probably take at least 30 days to see results. You must be consistent and follow directions for use.
Arbonne offers a great acne treatment system. It%26#039;s inexpensive, botanically based, contains no mineral oil, no animal products or byproducts, and gives pure, safe, beneficial results.
Hang in there ... and good luck!|||dont worri we are not all perfect visit your doctors cause they have some good stuff my friend had it and it worked great but dont let somthing like tht get you dwn live your life to the full (you only live once dont let spots stop you)|||see a dermatologist or get proactive....all my adult friends with acne swear by it|||Honey, just use proactive. It works on every one! And don%26#039;t feel bad about the way you look, sweet heart, life is too short!|||ive had the same problem, only im not an adult. I reccommed you see a dermotolagist. Over the counter medicines are all the same. they sometimes work for a short period of time, or dont work at all. Once i seen my dermatologist i felt so much better about myself he gave me pills, a night cream and a morning gel. Ive been on it for over 2 months now and it works great, my skin is clear. And its good if you have insurance to cover the payments.|||You can try a dermatologist. I%26#039;m thinking the cheaper route would be trying proactive.|||People are judged everyday by the way they look but that doesn%26#039;t make you any lower of a person than any one else. So you have bad skin. Some of the most beautiful people have bad skin. Concealor. Coverup. Foundation. Can%26#039;t even tell there is acne. I have bad acne. Well not to bad. But I do that and everyone says they can%26#039;t even tell. That there%26#039;s maybe one pimple when there is actually maybe 7 or 8. =] and worrying about it just makes it worse. Drink plenty of water. Get enough sleep. And wash face three times a day. If you wear makeup take it off as soon as you get hom. Don%26#039;t wear any when you are not going anywhere. Toothpaste for five minutes then alcohol really cleans face out.|||Mary Kay products. Seriously find what is right for you. Velocity is best for me, but you will be happy with your results.|||you need to go to the Dr. They can help!
Sometimes, it just amounts to taking an antiboitic. Reasoning being, there is bacteria living on your skin and infecting and creating acne. I have seen the simple antibiotic clear up acne very well.
Don%26#039;t just suffer - Go see about it!|||Unfortunately, appearance plays a huge role in finding a job because so many people are superficial. As a former fellow acne sufferer, it would be in your best interest to seek out a good dermatologist and get on a treatment program. It vastly improved my appearance, confidence and presentation.
Specifically, you might ask about the following drugs (I%26#039;ve ranked them in order of effectiveness in my experience):
1. Minocin
2. Clindamycin Phosphate Solution
3. Retin-A|||Adult acne doesn%26#039;t matter as long as you keep it contained. I%26#039;ve had acne from the time I was twelve, and at 24 I%26#039;ve still got it. I go to work, do my job, come home, and nobody mentions my acne to me. What%26#039;s important is that you do your best. If it%26#039;s -really- bad, you can talk to your doctor about using retin-A, which is a high-prescription-strength acne medication. It works very well. Mine%26#039;s calmed down so that over-the-counter products work alright now. But don%26#039;t worry so much about it. That happens, you know? Bad genes. Just plop on your acne cream and your makeup every day, and they%26#039;ll hardly notice. If it%26#039;s really getting to you that much, see a dermatologist. But really, I%26#039;d recommend the skin-care aisle at Wal-Mart or something. Good luck.|||go to a dermatologist and get them to give you roaccutane. it realy works. im only 14 but a month ago i had terrible acne but ive been using it and its nearly gone. and nearly everyone else in my family has used it in the past and its worked wonders so it should work for you.|||see a dermatologist|||I know it might sound cliche, but try Proactive. I use it and it worked wonders on my skin! It looks and feels so beautiful! I gave me my confidence back and made me an over-all happier person. Of course, I still get some acne around that time of month, but even then it%26#039;s gone in an instant with Proactive. It%26#039;s one of those things that may take about 2 weeks for you to notice any improvements, but then its all good from there. So yeah, try that and see how it works for you! Good luck!
